1. DO NOW - Find your name on the screen & your seat in the classroom. Pick up the Advanced Academics letter & Psychology Success Plan on the front table. Due next Monday, August 27th. 

2. Psychology Pre-Quiz. Discuss the answers
Discuss summer reading, how we will assess it. Why is it assigned? What is the objective? 

3. Expectations for the year. 

In broad terms:
Why we are here in AP Psychology? 
To learn about the study of the human mind and human behavior. Hopefully through working at this course students will understand themselves better socially, biologically, mentally, and understand why we do the things we do as humans, even when those choices are not the best. In the process of learning the definitions of key terms and processes, students will work to apply those through the various applications of psychological approaches. 

What I expect: 
Very hard work and daily improvement.

Our Goal: 
Pass the AP Exam

7. The Social Animal: Myths about Interpersonal Behavior; Myths 27-30
